Visit the Lost Cities of Xbox Live Arcade

Apparently this week has just been crazy with all the things going on, I didn’t even notice that today was “Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday”. In any event, Sierra Online is coming at us with another arcade title by the name of Lost Cities. The official word is you were a fan of Catan – you should give it a try, personally I think you should try at least the demo of ANY arcade game. A few of my arcade favorites are games I wouldn’t have even thought of playing if there was not a free demo, even based on the press content that all the sites are running – so kudos to the xbox live arcade demo process i guess! I should have some images and whatever else I can dig up for you guys, but since I didn’t post this early, you probably all ready have access to the game anyway!

Full press release after the break….

Los Angeles – April 23, 2008 – Sierra Online, a division of Vivendi Games, brings the award-winning card game Lost Cities™ exclusively to Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft today. In Lost Cities, players draw from a pool of cards with the goal of amassing the most points and making prosperous expeditions through the various lost cities: the Himalayas, the Brazilian rain forest, the ever-shifting desert sands, ancient volcanoes and the mystifying depths of the oceans.

“We wanted to create a game that will present players of all levels an entertaining and challenging experience,” said Chuck Cuevas, senior producer, Sierra Online. “We’ve taken the original Lost Cities strategic card game and translated it into an addictive interactive experience where players set out to accumulate points and journey through a series of exotic locations throughout the world.”

Players can risk it all by playing investment cards to either double up on points or double down on losses. True to the original card game, Lost Cities includes 60 cards and all rule sets. Players will be able to challenge others in 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 matches online via Xbox LIVE and also make use of the Xbox LIVE Vision camera.

The Lost Cities video game is rated E for Everyone and is available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system for 800 Microsoft Points. For more information visit Lostcitiesgame.com.
